Hired Southern Roofing about 8yrs ago for a new roof, Here we are now needing to replace the roof and the wood sheets also will have to replace a window and get treatment for termites due to poor workmanship. Prior to getting another roofer to come out and look at this I made several calls to get Bob to come out just to tell me what the problem is. I’ll called and called, finally saw him at a home and approached him. He never called or came by. They are busy getting that hurricane roof replacement money… they are no longer the company they use to be. Not sure if this is the next generation of owners but I would not ever use them again or recommend them. You make your decision on who you will use. In response to you answer: This was not in reference to the roof I called you for the estimate on. This was a roof that I had installed and paid for my relative. I have called and my relative came into your location several times to get you to come back, but to no avail. She was told so many times you ha no one to send or ok and no one came. I did request an estimate later but thank goodness I went with another company.

Robert came highly recommended by a trusted friend and he did not disapoint. His knowledge of the roofing business was handed down through his family. He is old school. He knows his craft. His crew arrived early in the morning, removed the old roof, put on the new roof and cleaned up after themselves in a meticulous fashion. Very pleased with the outcome and you will be too!

We’ve had a great experience with Southern Roofing! Bob Stevens, Jr. was very informative and responsive when we needed him. What we liked most about their work is the fact that they hand drove every nail they used. The roof took 2 days instead of one because they were extremely careful and meticulous. We’ve had several strong storms since getting the roof and No Leaks! They cleaned up well and there was no permanent damage to any of our plants and bushes. Another great point...this was the first roofing team we’ve seen where the workers used safety ropes and harnesses. We like a company that is truly concerned about worker safety! If there was one thing that we wished they could’ve done differently, it was the nailing of tarps to the sides of our house. I asked them not to do that and, as a result, we had a couple of small tears in some of our window screens from falling tiles. But, this was not a big deal. Price wise, they were slightly more expensive than their competitors, but it was more than worth it!! (The roofing company we used the last time we had our roof replaced (10 years ago) was a disaster. They were the cheapest bid, too. You get what you pay for!) Thank you, Bob and Team!!!
