This place used to be really good about pricing but now they got where they google these things and find were there worth a lot more and they’ll post a picture where they googled it which I think is really wrong you’re taking advantage of something that was given to you and then marking it way up so you can make a huge profit on something that was donated. And this happens to be a church that’s doing this as well so I think they need to come back down on their prices. I picked up something that came from the dollar store. They had marked it for five dollars and it was $1.25 at the dollar store. So just to you people who donate find someplace like a Salvation Army. They do really good for people and their prices are decent to where you can afford to go in and purchase some things and they don’t look at how much they cost on the Internet. They just put it out there and resell like they’re supposed to do it.

This place has been my saving grace for my children and I!! How they helped me: About 5 years ago I was in a very rough spot in my life. Community Ministry of NA or CMONA helped saved me. I could not be where I am today in life without their help. If you are in need of help with bills, food, clothes, someone to talk too, this is where you need to go! I was too proud to ask for help from anyone, my English professor pulled me to the side one day and told me I know something is troubling you and I'm not sure what it is. She wrote down CMONA and told me that I should go volunteer there a few days a week. Those few days turned into a few years. At the time Nancy was the director and she had noticed I was having a bad day, she pulled me aside and we started talking. I broke down! My walls fell apart and I came crashing down. Nancy listened to every word that day. She didnt judge me, instead she picked me up and went straight into action by making some calls. Next thing I know my children had food and clothes that same day. I was helped with a utility bill that I was struggling with. Nancy didnt stop there. She helped point me in the right direction for a job! I made great life long friends while helping out the ministry. They helped me get through the roughest time of my life. They didnt stop there though, they encouraged me to push through everything I was dealing with while working on my college degree! They held me up the whole way through it all. Ever since then I help repay them for all that they have done by donating items, food, and monetary items to help the next person who comes in for help. They can always use volunteers! You never know whos life you can change by being apart of something, it may change their life for the better. About the Ministry: (Wheelchair friendly) Nancy has since retired and Elizabeth has now taken over and I'm so happy to see the new building and thrift store. They now have assistance with helping you apply for jobs, signing up for food assistance or Medicaid, or if you just need someone to take the time to talk to or pray with you, they now have a room for you to fall part as they listen. It's hard being proud and not wanting to ask for help! I know, I have been there before. Do not be afraid to ask for help. With the new building and thrift store CMONA is able to help with so much more!! About the Thrift Store: (Wheelchair friendly) Anything that is donated to the thrift store, bill.sold, the money goes to the ministry to help those who come into the ministry that need help with food, clothes, or utility bills. So the next time you buy something from the thrift store just remember you are helping those who walk into the ministry side who really need it! They get a lot of great items in daily. You can find furniture (beds, dressers, mattresses, couches, chairs, kitchen tables, etc.), jewelry, craft supplies, clothes, shoes, books, bicycles, children toys, dolls, baby items, office items, lamps, picture frames, dishes, pots and pans, China sets (they get in some beautiful full sets of china!), workout equipment, gowns, wedding dresses, men's suits, hats, etc. Watch their Facebook page for their weekly sales and new items that come in. Their new location just opened up this week 08/23/2021. They are located at 531 Belvedere-Clearwater Road in North Augusta, M-F from 9:30am until 5:30pm. They only take donations at the thrift store on M-F from 9:30am to 2pm. They ask to please only donate during working hours. Anything that gets left outside they are unable to use if the weather ruins those items being donated. Their ministry is open for assistance Wednesday's, Thursday's and Friday's from 9:30am to 2pm. This is an update to a previous review which I deleted because I was unfair in it. They were super busy that day and honestly I had alot of stuff. I called this morning and they let me know my merchandise was still there waiting for me I was relieved and so happy. I had managed to score some great things for my Grandsons collection and was worried they were giving away with the next sale. Their store is super clean and the ladies are sweet and it smells nice too.
